Bear Viewing and Habitat Tours > Blue River
Turn off the Yellowhead Highway, step out of your vehicle, and get ready for an incredible wildlife experience. You’re in the world’s only inland temperate rainforest. Things can get wild here in Blue River as most of the neighbours have four legs and are covered in fur.
This is the heart of bear country and it’s where you can have experiences that will have you holding your breath and your heart pounding. Take a River Safari tour by land, water or both. There are several bear viewing tours that will take you deep into our Canadian wilderness. Listen to the quiet as you traverse the milky blue-green waters of Mud Lake then board a jet boat to cruise up the Mud Lake Delta, below an ancient glacier high upon a peak. Keep an eye out. This area is one of the richest habitats for black bears in all of British Columbia. Or hold on tight as your jeep bounces through the back country where you’ll discover where bears eat, sleep and play.
Guests in wheelchairs are welcome for both boat and jeep tours.
