Three Days of Fun at the North Thompson Rodeo and Fall Fair
The North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo has been entertaining folks for over 70 years every Labour Day weekend. There’s so much to see and do including: amusements, a full exhibit hall, bingo, outdoor and indoor entertainment, three days of BCRA Rodeo, bull riding, light horse show, heavy horse competitions, pony chariot and chuck wagon racing, and trick riders.
Enjoy the commercial booths and exhibits, the children’s Ag Can Be Fun area, the family dance, cabaret dance, cowboy concert, fall fair parade, children’s parade, and more!

Rodeo Time in the North Thompson
Put on your cowboy boots, grab your hat and head on over to the excitement at the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo in the Lower North Thompson and Barriere. Cheer loudly for your favourites, and don’t forget to breathe as you watch the the bull riding, pony and wagon races, competitions and trick riders.
Get Your Yee-Haw On
You’ll be on the edge of your seat as you watch a ton of angry beast buck and kick to get a pesky human off its back. It’s some of the longest eight seconds you’ll ever experience. There’s a full roster of long established rodeo events including jumping off a perfectly good horse to wrestle a steer. This is the only BC fall fair that still features classic pony chariot and chuck wagon races. You’ll be astounded as local youth take their turn to harness the strength of these mighty animals during barrel racing and steer riding events.

There’s so much to do at the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo. Three days filled with the colours, sights, sounds, and smells of the fall fair.
Fall Fair
Envision row upon row filled with baking, flowers, sewing, weaving, preserves, fine arts, photography, and more. Check out local handicrafts, as well as the education displays, and all the 4-H Club animals. Be prepared to laugh at the lumberjack show beside the Agriplex.
Explore the grounds and experience over 70 years of tradition, community pride and good old fashioned values. Summon your inner farmer at the lawnmower races or sit in the cool shade of a tree in the Companion Garden.
Dance the Night Away
When the sun sets, the family dance is a great place for you and your brood to bond over great country music and wholesome fun.
For adults, the Cabaret Dance is a place to kick up your heels at and dance the night away. Get your cowboy fill at the Cowboy Concert with cowboy poems, music and more!
